O, DO WASTE!
had a great day yesterday....
....we had planned it since last week. kitty and i would watch a movie then get coffee (or vice versa) this sunday. we were supposed to meet up at 2pm with kel, her sister kab, perry and gj. the night before, i had a 10 hour drinking spree with my relatives (i drank from 2pm till 12:30am. i had 15+ bottles. really.) so when i woke up, i had the hugest headache.. i contemplated on staying home and nursing my wounds. when kitty called i asked told her i din't wanna go anymore (sucky, but i was really hung over.. blech.) we talked for awhile, then hung up. a few minutes later, she calls again, this time kab and her mom alternately asked me to get my ass outta bed and go.. who could refuse such a grand gesture, right? i immediately texted all parties concerned.
....3 hours later i was sitting in a carwash with gj, perry and kel, waiting for the attendants to finish drying kel's revo (he said it was too dirty to drive). we had stopped there on the way to kitty's house. after 30 minutes, we were saying goodbye to kitty and kab's mom, finally on our way to eastwood. i brought along the Da Vinci code, a book i borrowed from gj (kick-ass book!), wanting to finish it that day. (i was reading it before the aforementioned alcohol-suicide run) i was certain i could, since we were having coffee later anyways. we got there an hour later, where lette and pao were waiting for us. i immediately plopped down an empty rattan chair, thumbing through the pages to locate the last chapter i was on (curiously, i don't use bookmarks) they chatted away while i was nearing climax (the book, you idiot!) less than an hour later, i was grinning ear to ear as i set down the book and lighted a ciggie... ah.. that was good.. very good (still talking about the book here!) they were finished with their drinks too, so we decided to check dem theatres. everyone voted, and when the dust settled, "the exorcist" was the clear winner (3 voted for it. the rest said "kahit ano") we went up to buy tickets and guess who was there? maxene magalona! a real knockout, that young lady. i could've sworn i heard perry gulp.. hahahaha! the movie was ok.. though i would have expected more from the vaunted "exorcist" franchise. the premise was good, lotsa potential, but they screwed it up a bit. oh well. it was good for a few laughs and scares. at least we saw maxene. =]
....we headed to fazoli's afterwards, where i had the delicate task of choosing between a chicken/pasta combo or a pizza/pasta one. kitty came up behind me and rubbed my tummy.. reminding me how i had to do something about my increasing girth. that seemingly jolted me back to reality. i settled for the former(boo hoo... ) after an hour of good-natured ribbing, laughter and tummy-filling, we made our way back to kel's revo and went home. we dropped off let at home, then stayed at kitty's for an hour more before we got home. as i plopped down on my bed, dead tired, i felt a smile of contentment in my lips as a thought formed in my head:
life is good. =]
